Artist's Comments

While in the mall with my beau, I saw this squid toy in a claw game. I've always wanted a squid doll, so we tried and tried to get it, but he was so top-heavy that he kept falling out of the claw. :/ While at Wal-Mart soon after, I saw fleece the exact color of that squid in the claw machine. I bought it on a whim and made this hat to show that squid wot wot.

He's very warm to wear, and has his eyes stitched to the ear flaps (they should technically be a little higher up, but I liked them in that position a little better). His tentacles are nice and long to wrap around the head for warmth, and have little felt suckers attached to them- one of his tentacles has ensnared a felt Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues. :P

This is the first hat I've ever made, and I'm very proud of him. He's of my own design. :)

Look at his smallness
- compared to my tallness
My porcelin doll-ness
My port-in-a-squallness
My kids-in-the-hallness
My Pink-Floyd's-"the-wall"ness
My three parts of gaulness
My just all-in-allness

I'm better than Neil.
